STUDIO OCOTILLO X SUNDAY MOURNINGS
ALTARS OF THE HEART WORKSHOP
The intention of this gathering is for you to create your own sacred space. Whether it be to honor the person or pet you're grieving, your inner child, your family, or the person you're still becoming. You'll paint a hand-sculpted ceramic altar made by Edna, then ground into a restorative sound bath led by Natalie, before leaving with a piece that's entirely yours.
Offerings of the workshop include:
๐ค Your own hand-sculpted ceramic altar, made by Edna of Studio Ocotillo, to paint alongside community and keep as a piece of your own ritual space.
๐จ Every material to make it yours. Paints, brushes, stencils, and guidance the whole way through.ย
๐ฏ๏ธ A restorative sound bath by Natalie to ground into your week ahead. All props are included: yoga mats, blankets, and bolsters.
๐ฟ Light bites and refreshments to nourish you while you create.ย

FAQs
Will I leave that day with my altar?
Yes! Your altar will be ready to take home with you the same day. ๐
Is this workshop about grief specifically, or open to anyone?
This gathering is open to anyone in any season, whether you're honoring someone you've lost, an old version of yourself, or simply making space for who you're becoming. Grief doesn't have to be the reason you're here, but it's always welcome if it is. ๐ค
What does intuitive painting mean?
There's no pattern to follow and no way to do this wrong. Intuitive painting means picking up the brush and letting your hand move before your mind decides what it should look like.
What if I don't consider myself artistic or creative?
This workshop is all about presence. ๐ซถ๐ฝYou don't need any painting experience to be here, just a willingness to sit with your hands and see what wants to be made.
We'll have inspiration photos and stencils on hand too, so you have something to ease into if you want a starting point rather than a blank canvas.
