Death Do Us Part: A Collection of Poetry

In her debut book, artist and writer Julia Karrys uses artifacts from her ancestors to tell the story of the complex bond between mother and daughter. After her mother's untimely death, Julia sought to find words to explain the deep intricacies of loss. What began as a tool to process grief, became a project of self exploration. Death Do Us Part is a self poetry and generationally collective art book, woven beautifully with themes of love and grief. This is the first of a three book poetry series examining death, relationships, and ultimately- self.
